Earlier this month our teams from our European offices got together for a week dedicated to inspiring conversations, creating plans for the future, and festive dinners. In this blog, we look back at the week’s key highlights, reflecting on our shared passion for mobility and the inspiration found when crossing borders.
The journey started with a train ride from Berlin to the Netherlands. This experience offered immediate inspiration, with Dagmar Köhler noting their appreciation for the seamless Dutch infrastructure:
“This time, I particularly appreciated the Dutch train stations: their design, intuitive wayfinding, cleanliness, good level of liveliness, and directness of access.”
This perspective set the stage for a week filled with a lot more inspiration.
The core of the week was dedicated to Mobyday, our annual team meetup, which brought our European colleagues together for dynamic workshops, inspiring presentations, and strategic sessions. We took deep dives into reflecting on 2025’s achievements and setting a focused course for 2026.
The team’s synergy and commitment were inspiring. Dagmar noted the value of this gathering:
“Another week in the Netherlands – it was fun and inspiring with all the Dutch and international Mobycon colleagues (only the North American and Pacific teams were missed!). As always, there has been an engaging mixture of learning, discussing, looking back, making plans for the future, and of course: some rain.”
A highlight of this day was visiting the Netherlands’ most just street in Den Bosch. This site provided a perfect case study, demonstrating that powerful, equitable design often looks natural and quiet.

The week offered several opportunities to move beyond theory, engage in insightful discussions, and experience Dutch mobility in a practical context. The team held debates on topics such as network planning in the Netherlands, Germany, and elsewhere, underscoring that coherent, attractive networks are the basis for a sustainable modal share. Our discussions emphasized that networks, paired with high-quality street design, determine the choices people make. Not only was this discussed, but the DACH team also lived it out as they navigated from Berlin to Amsterdam, Delft, Den Bosch, Tilburg, and back home to Berlin.
In addition to in-office discussions, we recorded several podcast episodes featuring the DACH Team, covering mobility trends and innovations across the German- and Dutch-speaking regions. Keep an eye out for these releases in 2026!

Beyond strategy, the week reinforced our unique company culture. For instance, the international teams shared their dream projects, which helped us connect on a personal level and learn about each other’s professional goals. The team left the Netherlands feeling inspired. As Helena von der Ohe described it:
“What I liked most was that I got inspired every single day. Even in small moments, I learned something new, and I came home with fresh ideas and a lot of motivation.”
What’s next for Mobycon meetups? Early next year, we’re hosting the North American meetup — and of course, 2026 also marks our 40th anniversary. A special milestone worth celebrating. Interested in collaborating with our international experts? Reach out and connect with us!
