Welcoming Matt Pinder: Mobycon's New Senior Integrated Mobility Consultant

We are excited to announce the addition of Matt Pinder to our growing team as the Senior Integrated Mobility Consultant based out of our Ottawa office in Canada. Matt brings an exciting mix of experience and knowledge that will move our initiatives forward to create more liveable, sustainable urban environments.

Matt has focused his engineering career on the design of streets and communities where people are at the forefront of design, with experience in active transportation facility design, complete streets, road safety, and enhancing first and last-mile access to transit. Matt combines a strong knowledge of standards and guidelines with a deep empathy for people of all ages and abilities, enabling the development of truly inclusive outcomes on his projects. Throughout his career, Matt has been involved in numerous high-profile projects, including leading the conceptual and detailed designs for the City of Toronto’s York U Cycling Connections project. This initiative won national awards and set a benchmark for innovative cycling solutions in Canada.

Matt currently chairs the Transportation Association of Canada’s (TAC) Active Transportation Integrated Committee, a place where Canada’s leaders in active transportation gather to share and learn about best practices and latest advancements in the field. Through this leadership with TAC, Matt contributes to advancing innovative design ideas not just on individual projects, but across the profession as a whole.

At Mobycon, our work environment should be as innovative and welcoming as the cities we help design. That’s why our office includes playful elements like a slide, which is a favorite among our team. Matt’s recent introduction to the team was no less enthusiastic as he slid into our office, captured in a delightful photo representing our approach to work: playful, fearless, and forward-thinking.

Join us in welcoming Matt Pinder to Mobycon. His expertise will undoubtedly add impactful value to our ongoing and future projects. We are excited to see how his fresh ideas and proven strategies will contribute to our mission of reshaping urban spaces.

Feel free to contact Matt to learn more about our work at Mobycon. Together, we’re cycling towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
