As cities across North America make new investments in sustainable transportation, staying up to date with new developments in the mobility sector has never been more important.

ITE Canada wants to ensure its members stay current and informed about the latest developments in the ever-changing field of sustainable mobility. They retained Mobycon to develop a curriculum and deliver virtual training on new multimodal transport planning practices to a professional audience, including transportation planners and engineers who work on network or roadway designs.

Our Approach

Mobycon created a training plan with a curriculum for three training sessions, divided into the following main topics: recent changes in multimodal transportation, principles for multimodal operations, and fundamental tools for improving safety.

Key skills included optimizing signal coordination with permissive periods, strategically configuring detector positions and settings for all users, and balancing Transit Signal Priority to enhance transit performance while minimizing delays for other road users.

Each training included interactive tools to engage and assess participants, and presentations contained practical examples of principles and methods. After successfully completing trainings in 2023 and 2024, ITE Canada retained Mobycon for a new Complete Networks training in 2025.
