Research: The safety of protected Intersections and their use case for Germany (2021-2024) Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt)
Copenhagen is known throughout the world for its bicycle friendly infrastructure. To help the city continue its development we collaborated with Danish company Copenhagenize Design Co.
The City expressed a desire to expand its network of bicycle infrastructure to better connect surrounding areas with the city center. The intention: improve commuter cycling facilities on bicycle super highways to assist a transition away from motorized travel, making it easier to cycle.
To do this, we conducted a full review of the current facilities and researched international trends in cycle highway provision. A series of new ideas were created and developed based on Mobycon’s 30 years of experience in understanding the needs and behaviors of cyclists. Success with this approach meant the City requested a follow up report focusing specifically on accommodating e-bikes.
This pairing of Danish and Dutch cycle expertise, once again, displays our proficiency in collaborating with international partners and applying our knowledge in settings beyond the Netherlands.
